With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in American Literature so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

Prompt Response: My experience in American Lit so far has been a little boring. I think, for the most part, I just see it as another class, not something to look forward to. I think the poems and texts we've read thus far have been relatively interesting. What is challenging is the fact the I have to do my blog posts on a separate device, because Blogger is blocked on the school computers. Moving forward, one thing that I need to improve on is procrastination. I haven't been procrastinating quite as much this year, but I feel it creeping in.

Summary: In class today, we worked on analyzing different Emily Dickinson quotes, describing the theme, topic, and deeper meaning of them.

Reflection: This activity helped me work on my analyzing skills, while exposing me to more work by Emily Dickinson.
